Set up PathFinder for HubSpot
PathFinder audits your HubSpot portal, prices every problem in dollars, and builds the fix inside HubSpot once you approve it.
With PathFinder you can
- Run a 45-item audit of your live contacts, companies, deals and automation in about 15 minutes
- Get a ranked plan with the dollars at risk and the hours to fix each finding
- Ask for builds in plain English and approve each workflow, property or pipeline stage before it's created
- Have every workflow PathFinder builds monitored around the clock
Before you start
- You need permission to install apps in your HubSpot account, such as a Super Admin.
- Any HubSpot account can install PathFinder and run the audit. Building workflows needs a HubSpot plan that includes workflows, and enrolling contacts in sequences needs a plan that includes sequences.
- The free audit includes 1,000 credits and 7 days, one trial per company. No card required.
Install PathFinder
- Open the PathFinder listing on the HubSpot Marketplace and click Install.
Choosing the HubSpot account to connect - Choose the HubSpot account to connect.
- Review the permissions. PathFinder asks for:
- Required: read and write contacts and deals; read companies; read contact, company and deal properties; workflows.
- Optional: update companies; create properties and change pipeline stages; read, create and enroll sequences; read and create lists; read and update leads; read and create campaigns; create marketing email drafts; read tickets, forms, sales emails and your user list; send custom events into HubSpot.
HubSpot's permission screen for PathFinder - Click Connect app. You'll land on PathFinder's intake page.
- Sign in or create your PathFinder account to claim the install.
Write access shows on HubSpot's permission screen, but PathFinder changes nothing in your portal until you approve a specific change.
Run your first audit
- On the intake page, confirm your company details. PathFinder pre-fills what it can from HubSpot.
- The audit starts automatically and takes about 15 minutes.
- Open your findings to see each issue with its record count, dollars at risk and hours to fix.
Configure PathFinder
- Grant optional permissions: if you skipped optional permissions, PathFinder asks for them the first time a fix needs one, such as creating a property.
- Invite your team so sales and RevOps can review findings and approve builds.
- On paid plans, connect Slack to get findings and approval requests in a channel.
Use PathFinder
- Manual: ask for a build in plain English or pick a recommended fix. Review the proposed change, then approve, edit or decline it. Approved changes run in your HubSpot and are verified afterward.
- Automatic: PathFinder monitors every workflow it built for silent failures and tells you when something stops working.
Disconnect PathFinder
- In PathFinder, open Integrations.
- Choose HubSpot and click Disconnect.
When you disconnect, PathFinder stops reading your portal and stops monitoring. Workflows, properties, pipeline stages and record values it created stay in HubSpot. To have PathFinder delete the data it stored about your portal, email hello@pathfindercro.ai.
Uninstall PathFinder
In HubSpot, follow HubSpot's guide to uninstall an app. Uninstalling revokes PathFinder's access. Anything PathFinder built stays in your portal; delete it in HubSpot if you no longer want it.
